Since its inception in 1956, The Irish Musicians' Association has provided a great, family-oriented social outlet for Irish musicians, dancers, their families, students of Irish Music, and anyone with a keen interest in Irish music and dance. Many great traditional Irish musicians found a home away from home in the IMA or were nurtured in their musical development. We are dedicated to the preservation and playing of traditional Irish music and we support the education of the young, up and coming Irish musicians of Chicagoland.

The IMA and its membership will continue our tradition of fun, music, and community long into the 21st century, following the example set by the founders. We are delighted that the young students of the Irish Music School of Chicago are amongst the members of our club, ensuring that our music will live on.

If you play an instrument, like céilí and set dancing, or think that you might want to be involved, please consider joining the oldest and proudest traditional music organization in North America.
